Penn State Football landed their first commitment in the 2026 class this past weekend as one Pennsylvania's top projected recruits, Messiah Mickens, made his commitment official via social media.
With this addition, the Nittany Lions continue their trend of adding hyper-athletic players, but what exactly will Mickens bring to the program's loaded back field?

Although Mickens has shown that he can make his mark at an abundance of different positions, he has special ability at the running back position. At 5-foot-10, 200-pounds Mickens is predicated on speed and explosiveness. He’s a runner who has all the juice and most time can’t be caught if he hits the second level. He has solid contact balance but doesn’t get many opportunities to get yards after contact as most defenders can't catch him.'
