Suffield, Conn., wide receiver Jaden Dottin was one of the top prospects in attendance Saturday for Penn State’s 38-3 Senior Day win over Maryland.

Listed at 6-foot-3, 185 pounds, Dottin is no stranger to State College, visiting twice this past summer, one of which was for the Lasch Bash barbecue in July. However, the four-star put almost all of his focus on his team, Suffield Academy, the fall. Because of that, Saturday’s trip to Penn State was the only game he saw during the 2018 season.

“We started off pretty hot this season and I was playing both sides, offense and defense,” Dottin said. “So, recruiting kind of took a backseat for me this season. I’ve still been talking coaches here and there, but I was mainly just focused on my team.

“I also stayed healthy for the entire season, which was big for me. I missed part of last season [with a shoulder injury], so since I was able to play the whole season and stay healthy, that’s where I had all my focus.”
