Penn State hosted two of its top remaining defensive line targets this past weekend, one of which is strong-side defensive end Smith Vilbert.

A 6-foot-6, 245 pound prospect from Montvale, N.J., Vilbert visited Penn State for the second time this weekend. He previously made the trip in September to watch the annual whiteout game against Ohio State. Since then, his relationship with defensive line coach Sean Spencer and defensive coordinator Brent Pry has strengthened substantially. That’s why this weekend was centered around familiarizing Vilbert with the current players and commits.
