COACHSPEAK: Is Penn State getting yet another lockdown DB in Omari Gaines?
Penn State struck again on the recruiting trail in New Jersey recently, landing another one stat'es top prospects in the 2025 recruiting cycle as defensive back Omari Gaines made the move to commit to the program.
Nittany Nation spoke with Gaines' head coach in Naz Oliver, who broke down what Penn State is getting in the prospect both on both on the field, off the field and why State College is the best fit for him.
GAINES ON THE FIELD: “Omari is one of those players who has that physical presence on the field, he's nitty and gritty. He's a ballhawk, very rangy and Penn State is getting a high ceiling guy who's best football is in front of him. He reminds me a ton like Joey Porter Jr, with his length and size on the field."
