Woods is ranked by Rivals as the 204th best player nationally and the 8th best weakside defensive end in the country. He's also the 4th best prospect out of the state of Kansas for the 2025 recruiting cycle.

Currently Woods holds nearly 30 total scholarship offers in his recruitment from schools such as Alabama, Baylor, Florida, Michigan, Missouri, Penn State, Purdue, Texas A&M and many others.

Along with his official visit to Penn State, Woods also has official visits planed to check out Wisconsin on the weekend of May 31st and Purdue the weekend of June 14th.

The Nittany Lions don't currently have any defensive end recruits committed currently, although linebacker Dayshaun Burnett could potentially slide down to defensive end in the future.
