Class of 2024 edge rusher Benedict Umeh from Avon Old Farms up in Connecticut expressed a ton of excitement after receiving an offer from Penn State.
The 6-foot-5, 240-pound defensive end spoke with us here at Nittany Nation about the news and what's next in his recruitment.
He was first informed of the offer from recruiting coordinator Alan Zemaitis.
"I was talking with coach AZ and he told me about the offer," Umeh told Nittany Nation. "We weren't on the phone for very long, but he told me that he liked what he saw on film and wanted to offer. Other than that we mostly talked about the advantages of going to Penn State academic, athletic, etc. I was very excited about the news, our whole dorm went crazy. I didn't even realize that I had got it when he said it, it took me a few minutes to process.”
