Penn State is less than one week away from inking its Class of 2017. While a final few spots have yet to be filled, it’s likely that upwards of 21 recruits will sign their national letters of intent on Wednesday.

For the majority of them, their long-term goals include a feature in football beyond their upcoming college career. Those who have the NFL in the back of their minds will be aiming to follow a path that 32 former Nittany Lions actively are.

A couple more played different sports at PSU, the total of 34 former Penn Staters are spread across 23 professional rosters. Twelve were on teams that participated in the playoffs and on Sunday's Pro Bowl Cameron Wake and Sean Lee represent Penn State in the Pro Bowl. Next week Chris Hogan, a former lacrosse player, will be the only Penn Stater in Super Bowl LI after a record-setting performance last week for the New England Patriots in the AFC Championship.

Here's a review of who else is in the league, where they once were as recruits, and what they accomplished this year.
