It was a true tail of two halves today for the Nittany Lions, as they struggled to get much of anything going through the first half of play today as they shot 7-of-32 from the field overall and 2-of-19 from two throughout the the first 20 minutes of play.

Now things turned around a bit in the second half, as they managed to hit on over 50% of their shots and nailed six three-pointers to bring the game within 10 points with less than a minute left. However that was too little, too late as the game was already over by then and Ohio State hit a couple of free throws late to win the game by 12 points.

Overall the first half of the game was just too ugly for the Nittany Lions to come back from as they suffer their 10th loss of the season. Mike Rhoades and company just have to get back to the drawing board here, as the team just continues to just be so inconsistent game in and game out.

UP NEXT....

Penn State will have the week off, as they won't return to the hardwood until next Saturday, January 27th. The Nittany Lions will welcome the Minnesota Golden Gophers to the Bryce Jordan Center next weekend for the THON game.

Tip-off is set for 6:30pm and the game can be televised on the Big Ten Network.
