Following the senior season of prospects in the Class of 2017, Rivals.com released its updated rankings this week.

Penn State has three verbal commitments listed among the Rivals250, while another earned his fourth star. With 15 total recruits, including seven four-stars, Penn State's is currently considered the No. 21-best class in the country.

Here's a look at which PSU recruits made the most recent cut, along with film of each.

- After previously dropping out of the Rivals250, yet holding on to his fourth star, Matos is back in it after an outstanding senior season, ranked No. 128. After recording 18.5 sacks, Matos was named his conference’s defensive player of the year. He also made the largest jump of any prospect in this week’s latest rankings.

“A pretty high return to the Rivals250 for Matos can be attributed to the major strides he has made with his hand placement, use of an expanded arsenal of pass rushing moves, and the fact that he has been playing with improved leverage. The Penn State commit has also added some good weight and seems much stronger. The Nittany Lions are getting a defensive end with sky-high potential and he took a big step toward reaching that potential this season.” – Rivals.com Mid-Atlantic Recruiting Analyst Adam Friedman

- Hansard is the newest addition to Penn State’s Class of 2017 after he announced his commitment soon after his official visit for the Nittany Lions’ 45-12 win over Michigan State in Beaver Stadium.

Formerly committed to Florida, Hansard has gradually slid down the rankings over the past year as others have climbed up. After originally being ranked in the Rivals100, Hansard was ranked No. 115 in the August list, and now No. 129. An injury disrupted his junior season, but as a senior Hansard totaled 51 tackles in eight games. Fourteen of those went for a loss and 8.5 were sacks. He also forced three fumbles and recovered two. Hansard also played left tackle on offense and was named Mercer County’s Prep Lineman of the Year.

- Prior to Matos’ monster jump up the rankings and Hansard’s commitment, Clifford was the highest-rated commitment in Penn State’s Class of 2017. Despite being in and out of the lineup as a senior due to injuries, however, Clifford only fell two spots in the latest rankings to No. 138.

He finished the season as a state champion, completing 123 of his 219 passing attempts for 1,426 yards. He threw nine touchdowns compared to three interceptions. He also rushed for 560 yards and added 12 more scores on the ground.

- Rivers didn't crack the Rivals250 this time, but he earned a fourth star in the latest update after being considered a three-star prospect for most of his recruitment. Rivers finished his senior season with 71.5 tackles, including 13.0 TFL. For his efforts he was named his conference’s defensive player of the year and earned first-team all-conference honors as both a tight end and linebacker.

“Rivers has always been a physical linebacker, but he showed progress in other areas of his game this season. The Penn State commit showed more athleticism and did a better job of covering in space this year. Rivers is a punishing hitter, sees running lanes quickly and gets there in a hurry.” - Friedman
