Penn State flips Bucknell commit, adding TE/DE Joey Palko as a run-on

Penn State Football continues to add to it's strong preferred walk-on class as they have added 2023 Pottsville High School (PA) defensive end Joey Palko recently.

The 6-foot-3, 215-pound prospect originally committed to Bucknell on scholarship back in early August, but the push from the Nittany Lions staff to join their program was too much to pass up.

As a senior this past season, Palko played both offense (tight end) and defense (edge) for his high school team and was productive at both. Palko hauled in 13 receptions for 236 yards and two scores on offense, while also contributing 25 total tackles (17 solo), seveb tackles for loss, three sacks and three fumble recoveries on defense.

Palko is just the latest edition to a strong preferred walk-on class for the Nittany Lions in the 2023 recruiting cycle. To see who else in the class, check out the full list here or in the graph below.
