Spring practice for Penn State football is right around the corner. Every year spring practice provides a nice pallet wetter for fans who miss college football. As well as providing storylines to watch.

A storyline to watch every spring for each team across the country are position battles. For Penn State, there will be multiple position battles to keep an eye on this spring. One of these battles will be at offensive tackle.

How we got here

Last season, Penn State had one of the best offensive tackle duos in the Big Ten. Soon-to-be first-round pick Olu Fashanu anchored the offensive line at left tackle, while fellow future NFL Draft pick Caedan Wallace was in his fourth year as a starter at right tackle.

However, with Fashanu and Wallace both off to the NFL Draft, it's back to the drawing board for Phil Trautwein and the Nittany Lion coaching staff. Luckily for Trautwein and company, there are still plenty of good options on the roster.
