After closing out the regular season on a high note, beating Michigan State at Ford Field 42-0 on Black Friday, the Penn State Nittany Lions have once again moved up in the College Football Playoff rankings. James Franklin and company have moved from No. 11 to No. 10 after being bumped up one spot in last week's rankings.

The Nittany Lions missed out on the Big Ten Championship Game and will now await the Championship Saturday results before receiving its bowl bid. At 10 wins, Penn State is poised to go to a New Year's Six bowl for the second straight year and the fifth time under head coach James Franklin.
