Three-star DB Kaj Sanders sets Penn State official visit

Three-star defensive back Kaj Sanders has set an official visit to Penn State, the New Jersey native announced on Monday evening via his Twitter account. The official visit will take place from June 23 through June 25, the last official visit weekend of June.

The Bergen Catholic standout has over 20 offers in his recruitment including Boston College, Duke, Georgia Tech, Louisville, Michigan State, Minnesota, Nebraska, Notre Dame, Penn State, Pittsburgh, Rutgers, South Carolina, West Virginia, and Wisconsin.

Sanders was last on campus in Happy Valley in January for one of the Nittany Lions' January 14 Junior Day festivities. While not a name that we have discussed at length here at Nittany Nation, Penn State has been recruiting Sanders quite extensively over the last few months.

This should not come as any major surprise, with cornerback and safety a key position in the 2024 recruiting cycle for the Nittany Lions but also with the addition of Khalid Ahmad to the recruiting staff, the Nittany Lions have made New Jersey a bigger priority. Ahmad and Sanders had previously developed a relationship while Ahmad was part of Syracuse's staff prior to making the move to State College at the end of January.

Other schools that have developed strong relationships with Sanders outside the Nittany Lions include Notre Dame, Rutgers, and Syracuse. The Oradell (NJ) native has visited Rutgers more than any other school with five recorded trips to Piscataway. The Scarlet Knights are shaping up to big Penn State's biggest competition in his recruitment.
