Where Penn State’s pair of commits landed in the updated 2024 Rivals250

On Tuesdays, Rivals released our updated Rivals250 for the 2024 recruiting cycle. Our first major update to the Rivals250 since the end of the 2023 recruiting cycle earlier this month.

Among the updated Rivals250 members is both of Penn State’s current commitments in the class offensive lineman Cooper Cousins and linebacker Anthony Speca.

Cousins in the latest rankings is ranked 147th nationally, just making it inside the Rivals150. It’s a slight drop for the Erie (PA) native in the rankings but despite that drop he remains one of the country’s top offensive lineman, ranked as the sixth best offensive tackle in the cycle. He’s also the fourth best player in the Keystone State in the updated rankings, a deep class for the state of Pennsylvania to say the least.

The most recent commitment in the 2024 recruiting cycle, Speca is ranked just outside the top-200 at 209 and is considered a top-10 inside linebacker in the country. He’s also the sixth best player in the state of Pennsylvania as well.

Pennsylvania with a strong showing in latest Rivals250

The Keystone State was well represented in the latest Rivals250 with nine representatives. Five of the nine representatives are currently uncommitted and are all prospects that the Nittany Lions could potentially add to their 2024 recruiting class.

Leading the pack is Belle Vernon running back Quinton Martin at No.37, he’s the Nittany Lions’ top overall target in the cycle. Next up out of Pennsylvania is Roman Catholic wide receiver Tyseer Denmark checking in at No.80, the Philadelphia native committed to Oregon late last year.

Notre Dame offensive line commitment and Malvern Prep standout Peter Jones is at No.90 while St. Joes Prep cornerback Omilio Agard comes in at No.115. The Nittany Lions are among the finalist for Agard alongside Alabama, Clemson, Michigan, and Tennessee.

The previously mentioned Cooper Cousins is at 147 while Imhotep Charter defensive back Kenny Woseley finishes out Pennsylvania prospects in the top-200. Nittany Nation has submitted FutureCasts in favor of Woseley to land with the Nittany Lions.

Rounding out Pennsylvania’s Rivals250 representation includes the previously mentioned Anthony Speca at 209, Archbishop Wood offensive tackle Kevin Heywood at 239, another prospect FutureCasted to land in Happy Valley as well as Bonsignor Monner (Philadelphia) defensive lineman Mylachi Williams at 248. Both Heywood and Williams are new members of the Rivals250.
