Penn State picks up 2024 commitment from SF Hudson Ward

On Wednesday afternoon, Penn State men's basketball added a fourth member to their 2024 recruiting as Canadian small forward Hudson Ward announced his commitment to the Nittany Lions.

The 6-foot-7 Ward is out of Western Canada Prep Academy in Edmonton.

Ward's commitment came just a few days after taking an official visit to Happy Valley. He picked the Nittany Lions over offers from Long Beach State, Rice, and New Mexico, taking official visits to all three programs as well.

Ward joins a Penn State recruiting class that also features four-star center Miles Goodman and three-star guards Dominick Stewart and Jahvin Carter.

A part of Canada's 2022 U17 team at the U17 World Cup where he played in seven games, averaging 5.9 points per game on 34.9% shooting. He also averaged 2.9 rebounds per game across 17.4 minutes a contest.
