Top 2019 quarterback Ta'Quan Roberson announced Wednesday that he's on the verge of ending his recruitment.

A native of Wayne, N.J., Roberson has earned a handful of offers over the past year, none bigger than Penn State, who verbally offered him back in July following a solid performance at the staff's Underclassmen Combine. He also attended a junior day in February and the Blue-White Game in April.

However, maybe his biggest visit yet was just this past weekend, when he and high school teammate Ronnie Hickman returned to State College for the whiteout game against Michigan.

"The atmosphere was just absolutely amazing," Roberson said, when asked about the game on Sunday. "They broke a record yesterday and I got to be apart of history. That's pretty cool.

"I had a good talk with the coaches. They were just telling me that they loved me and would love me to play in Happy Valley one day."

According to his Twitter account, Roberson is planning to announce his decision sometime in the next 48 hours. In addition to the Nittany Lions, he's also considering Boston College, Kentucky, Maryland, North Carolina, Rutgers, Syracuse, Virginia Tech and Wake Forest.

Through seven games this season, Roberson has thrown for 1,616 yards, 18 touchdowns and just four interceptions. He's completing 67 percent of his passes and has added another 340 yards rushing, scoring four touchdowns.
